New Instructor Course June 22-26

#1

Post by TSUalum05 »

Hello everyone, I'm new to this formum. I received all my paper work to attend the above mentioned course and I have a question.

For the shooting portion, is the 3, 7, 15 yards and all the shooting times at each distance the same as the CHL shooting portion?

Same test but 90% is the passing score and you have to shoot both SA and NSA.

I just completed the course myself last week and enjoyed it very much. I can tell you the chairs are not the most comfortable so look at the back of the class and find the blue comfy chair and grab it. Once you grab it hopefully you can get it all week like I did. You also need to make sure your early each day if you want it. None of the trainers said anything to me about sitting there so go get it. Also make sure you take a yellow highlighter to mark up your book. They bounced around from our published schedule because one of the head guys lost his mother in law while we were their.

Last bit of advice for you guys running 1911's for SA proficiency make sure you lubricate them properly. i was one of the guys running to the car midstream of qualifying to grab another 1911 I keep as a spare in the car.

Enjoy yourself.

Congrats on passing. The heat and humidity was bad.
I know the feeling on waiting with DPS , Can`t wait til everything is entered and I can start doing classes....

I was in the second relay and the heat was horrible. It didnt help that some folks didnt seem to have their crap together on the line and that the Trooper running the show sort of messed up a bit and drug it all out longer than it should have been :grumble . Im pretty sure everyone passed with the exception of one lady who was apparently on her third try at the qualification part. Anyone know if she made it or not?
