Legal knife carry ?
What are the rules on carrying a knife that fits the states definition of a legal knife ? Can places like amusement parks and sports stadiums really prevent you from carrying your pocket knife ?

i carry mine at all times, however if you go through a metal detector, they will know about it.
you really might not want to have to walk all the way back to the car to put it away.

Yes they can refuse entry if you want to bring something they do not allow. Concerts and sporting events are prime places where you have to go through metal detectors, get patted down, or they wave a wand over you. I have had to toss a pocket knife at the house of blues b/c it was a stupid long walk back to my car, I was already running behind, and it was a $15 throw down knife from Academy. It was time for a new one anyway, but I was not happy about it.

I once carried two pocketknives onto a plane. Pre 9/11. We were up in the air and I didn't think about it until I reached into my pocket for something.boomerang wrote:That's what they want you to think.usa1 wrote:i carry mine at all times, however if you go through a metal detector, they will know about it.

Bear in mind, too, that municipal statutes can, er, augment--yeah; that's it--augment state and federal laws. Good example of that is the city of San Antonio.lazypineapple wrote:heres the link on weapons

I don't know that I would fully trust its thoroughness and timeliness, but here's one source for looking into municipal codes: http://www.municode.com/resources/OnlineLibrary.asp.
