Certified Mail

#1

Post by AGENT-X »

I sent in my CHL application Certified Mail per the checklist recomendation, but now I realize that sending certified mail requires a signature. The mailing address for the packet is a P.O. Box, will this effect delivery of my packet? I know when sending to an ordinary person with a P.O. Box they go to the window and sign for the package, will DPS do this or will the packet get returned to me as no one will sign for it? Thanks in advance for your help.

Whoever is the designated person to pick up the mail should sign for it.

Nope; you're fine. It's part of daily business for them to receive certified mail, so the procedures are in place. Shouldn't slow down your paperwork at all.

Even if there is a delay it's small compared to the total time for processing and it feels good to have proof they received the application.
