I feel ya. I know someone who would watch something similar, and their reasoning was that watching something like that made their life not seem so bad (whether you're looking at Dog, or the people he's "bringing in").Abraham wrote:DoubleJ,
I don't disagree.
My question is what group of hominids comprises the market interested in this stool?
His obnoxious manner, repellant appearance and loathsome tribe of scuttling assistants trumpeting their inventory of double negatives and aints makes me retch. The entire show is like a festering boil of pseudo humanity.
Other than that, I'm sure it's great entertainment...
(yes, operating on the "train wreck syndrome" I've watch a bit of it and came away with the impressions I'm now putting forth.)

FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.

On a side note, having played a bunch of paintball (using single shot ones back in the mid 80s), if he kept the paintballs in a cooler after freezing them, and then WD-40d the barrel of his paintball gun, he would have significantly better results with being able to stop someone.
So I've been told.

What if you were an over-the-top-self-aggrandizing-stereotypical-white-trash person? It would be perfect entertainment.Abraham wrote:I don't understand the attraction of watching stereotypical white trash and their over the top, self aggrandizing melodrama.

On a related note, has anyone seen the episode of repo where they got shot at and the windows of the car they were 'recovering' beaten out with a bat as they left? That was pretty tense, if it was real... The really big guy on steriods afterwards was saying anyone who fights with a gun is lesser of a man for lack of true words used and that he was going to be waiting for the guy that shot at them when he got out of jail to beat him up. Entertaining, yes. Brain rottening, yes. So use these 'reality shows' at your own risk.

Hate to tell you guys, but that OPERATION REPO show with the big bald guy, "big" woman with all the peircings who sometimes wears a ballet costume is FAKE!! I thought it was funny.....until I got suspicious, checked it out on-line and found out the truth. If you watch the very beginning, there is a quick disclaimer about the show being "re-enactments" of true events. Yeah, right. I mean really, do you really think it's possible that they go to a house to repo a vehicle and a NINGA pop out out the passenger side, complete with nunchucks, all dressed in black and ready to fight? Come on. If you notice, they ALWAYS find drama at EVERY repossession. Also, the big guy gets in a lot of shoving matches, but never a real fight. You want "real"? ....watch COPS. Sorry to break the bad news. The channel is called TruTV. Don't you think is should be real?

Sorry about the spelling (NINJA, not NINGA, etc.). It's 3 in the a.m. lol
