I'm planning to take the CHL test this month, and I see that it could take 4 or 5 months before my license is issued. It is likely that I will be moving within that time period. Staying in Texas, of course -- it took 45 years for me to get here, and I ain't leaving!
My concern is that a change of address while my CHL application is in process will impact negatively on issuance of the license.
Is there a recommended procedure to facilitate an address change while an application is in the pipeline? Or should I just wait until after I move to take the test? I don't like that last option, but if the address change will further delay or jeopardize my CHL application then I will do so.

Re: Change of address while CHL application pending
Just send DPS a letter giving them your new address. I strongly recommend sending it certified mail, return receipt request so you can prove you sent it and when. I also recommend sending your application the same way.
