Re: And Now WE WAIT
It took about a month to get my pin back, but there was a holiday in there so you could blame the slow response to that. Once you get that pin #, your life is over. You'll be on that dps site everyday, Its kinda depressing after a couple months.
Good luck...

But you get REALLY good at typing your DL and SSN numbers and birthdate! (Muscle memory?) Trying to keep it positive. Perfect opportunity to learn both humbers if you didn't already have them committed to memory.

Re: And Now WE WAIT
Man, that about hits the nail on the head. I told myself I wouldn't be the guy that checks everyday. Once I got to about day 45 I was checking twice a week. At day 60, everyday. At day 75, morning and afternoon. I guess that I was never very good at waiting for things and this is killing me.HD1200S wrote:It took about a month to get my pin back, but there was a holiday in there so you could blame the slow response to that. If you think checking the DPS site to see if your application is approved is bad... just wait until the site says "Application approved or certificate active" and then wait for your plastic to arrive in the mail. I still can't decide which is the more agonizing wait! Good luck and cheers on a speedy process.

I pre-registered online so I had my PIN before I even took the class. I didn't even bother checking until a month or so after my class. I would have ulcers by now if I started checking right away.

Re: And Now WE WAIT
....... or the day you mailed your application ended in Y, or, the sun came up that day, or, any one of a billion other excuses. The real reason though is because the proper tools and manpower has not been utilized/authorized to do the job effeciently. What gets me is that this is now not a developing problem but an on going one so its not like they don't know about it. In my job when a problem occurs and interrupts the flow of things we have to adapt and solve the issues immeadiately. It really is that simple. IMO, everyone should write their elected officials and ask why this on going problem has not been fixed.HD1200S wrote:It took about a month to get my pin back, but there was a holiday in there so you could blame the slow response to that.
As for checking the DPS site..... lol, halarious that they actually label the clicky "Track the Status of your Application". Not sure how anyone can say with a straight face that posting "Processing Application" on their website is tracking it.
