get a pre-recall... that way you'll get an extra clip & a cool LCP hat

The fix only takes about 10 days

I saw two for sale at the recent Big Town Gun Show. One was pre-recall, the other post-recall.

Someone posted in the ammo thread that cabellas in Buda(where ever that is) had 20 of them. This might mean the one in Ft.Worth has some too. Ya might want to give them a call.

I called Cabela's (in Buda, Tx outside of Austin) last night. Talked to Steve. He wouldn't give me a count but said it was a kit deal. $389 for gun, 1 mag, 1 soft case, 1 holster, 1 lock). They are priced $349 at Academy and $319 at Bass pro. However, neither Academy nor Bass Pro have had any for a LONG time.

CTD in Fort Worth gets them in occasionally, but they go real quick.
At $299.97 they are not gouging like most.
Frankly, that surprised me.

You can often find them on Glocktalk, AR-15, The Highroad and other forums. At the risk of giving unwanted gratuitous advice, see if you can find someone who will let you shoot one a few times before buying. I bought one after merely holding it and after 20-30 rounds realized it was much too small for my hands. Given the hot market I sold it for what I paid but still it was a waste of time buying it.

Excellent advice. The darned thing was nothing but torture for me to shoot but my son had no problem shooting it. His hands are smaller than mine. The darned thing just beats you to death if your hands are too big for it.

I don't normally respond to WTB threads, but there are LCP's to be had if you just look for them. My brother and I have bought 4 NIB off message board classifieds and not paid over $350 shipped for any of them.

Good luck with your search. I have one of my LCP's in my pocket as I type this, and they are truly great concealed carry pocket pistols. :thumbs2:
