Rifle Question

#1

Post by HOSSISFREE »

I know this is a Concealed "Handgun" License forum, but are there any rifle gurus out there? My Dad wants to start offloading some of the many rifles and shotguns he has, and asked me if I could find any information on them. Ya'll helped me so much with the 1911 info that I thaught I'd give it a shot.

1) No Discernable brand stamped on it. Made In Italy. Has a box with a crown symbol and FAT 42 below it, inside the box.

2) Remington Model 03-A3 serial# 3583626

3) Remington Model 10-A 12ga. Model number has "U" above 126115

4) Winchester Model 97 12ga. 2 3/4 inch chamber. Model number has "E" above 977014. From what I understand this model is sought after by cowboy action shooters.

I would appreciate any input. I'll be taking them to Collector's Firearms in Houston on Saturday to find out what they may know also.

Edit: added pics

General Gun is long or short, old or new. No problem. Someone will know.

I've found that the #1 (top rifle in pic) is a Carcano. That's all so far.

#2 was manufactured 1941-1944
