Interested to see if any charges will be brought, and if there will be a ensuing (no pun intended) civil suit. Sheriff's comments were right on.
"We are oft to blame in this / 'Tis too much proved -- that with devotion's visage / And pious action we do sugar o'er / The devil himself."

Why bother with an autopsy? Bullet hole(s) killed the guy.

Here's a follow-up to that story:

Apparently Pizza Hut has a "no weapons" policy. I'm sure there are quite a few independent pizza places that would hire him, at least I hope so. Delivering pizza pie back in college was a fun/good job for me.

Nothing like objective reporting.Miller carried a .45-caliber Taurus handgun in a fanny pack and took it out and fired while being beaten backward, Metts said. Such large caliber pistols are known for their “stopping power” — the ability to bring down an attacker instantly.

You can tell that the delivery driver feels badly - he even apologized to the family of the teen. But, like the article says, he wants to go home to his wife and child too. The other 3 should get some nice time to think about their roles in the death of their friend.
I find that it is kinda funny that they even measure how far you attempt to retreat before you stand your ground. Very obviously self-defense.

Maybe it was a special edition of the Tracker in .45/70.WildBill wrote:Nothing like objective reporting.Miller carried a .45-caliber Taurus handgun in a fanny pack and took it out and fired while being beaten backward, Metts said. Been awhile since I took my law class as a LEO, but IIRC strong-arm robbery is where there are 'strong-arm' tactics or force used, but no weapon is involved. It is defined as armed robbery if there is a weapon.rm9792 wrote:"strong armed robbery " is a new one to me.

Fear, anger, hatred, and greed. The devil's all-you-can-eat buffet.

Thanks Keith. I thought it was black and white, you are armed or you aint.

What was his one wrong decision? Picking the wrong victim?Sturgill asked people not to judge his son on this incident. “He made one wrong decision. I guess he paid the ultimate price.”
THE SECOND AMENDMENT IS NOT ABOUT DUCK HUNTING
Re: Pizza Delivery Guy (CWP holder) defends himself
Richard Davis went into the body armor business because of a shooting when he delivered pizza.PUCKER wrote:Here's a follow-up to that story:
