I'm going to be in the Denton area for the nascar races in April. Any good ranges up that way?

There is a range just a couple miles from the racetrack called Quail Creek:

I've shot there many times and it's been fine. It get pretty crowded later in the day on weekends though.

There's a private range in Denton County
you've also got Bass Pro shop, which isn't all that far, depending on which way you go...
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.

You would be in the minority, it seems. That being said, Quail Creek is close to the track. I'd just rather not go shooting if that were the only option. :mrgreen:

I've read that thread and posted in it. I somewhat doubt I'm in the actual minority as it is people who have had problems that tend speak up about it. I don't have a horse in the race, but I"m pretty sure the guy that most of those complaints are about is not the RSO there anymore.

Thanks y'all that gives me an idea of where to go.Quail Creek is real close to where we are staying. I'll have to check it out.I might even hit Bass Pro.That Cabela's on 35 have a range?

No, unfortunately, Cabellas does not have a range. I shot at Bass Pro in Grapevine today. It's a nice set up and convenient to the track.

06/04- Application Completed - license issued or certificate active!!!!!
