I suspect the plastic should be here in about 3-4 days..
I've figured out how to carry in casual clothes, still need to figure out how to carry with my work uniform though..

Congrats on that. I wish that my senator or rep would actually get back to me. I also am completely baffled how they can tell me that they have no way to contact the travis county office and find out the status of my background check.Tireshred wrote:I'm so excited I can barely type, Maryanne just called from DPS, mine has been approved and she offered to send overnight which I gladly accepted! The website still says processing but I don't care, I should have plastic in my hands tomorrow. Walking the dog at o'dark thirty won't be nearly as tense and neither will getting fuel near my job. I can't wait!

I've had a secret for the last thirty-some years and a TS when I was on active duty, and it didn't make any difference for me, either. The long pole is usually the local background, rather than the FBI check.Weapons2w1 wrote:I understand that these things take time, and not to sound like I am better than anyone else, but I have a top secret clearance with the Air Force, so one would think that would speed up the process a bit, since I am sure the majority of the wait time is background checks. Show me the plastic please!!!
