Improved facility at American Shooters

American Shooting Centers location in Houston got some new management late last year. They have spent a considerable amount of money upgrading the shooting points and generally cleaning up. More RO's on duty etc. I understand the prices have gone up a bit, but it is generally a much improved facility. Last few times I have been there, the change has been reflected in increased business. Sunday mid day is much more crowded that it was.

I have been there many many times. I think the staff could be more friendly in all situations. I have seen some of the younger guys at the counter be incredibly rude on numerous occasions for various reasons. None of which were warranted. I have also been talked down to for shooting an AR at the 25yd range trying to sight it in after installing new sights front and rear. It is one of the nicer ranges I have been to. But I am always on edge with the RO breathing down my neck. I have even had them pick up my CETME rifle bang it on the rack picking it up without my permission and not know how open the bolt. Even with these issues I still go back b/c they DO have a nice facility and they have many different things to offer. I am just on guard when I do go and usually thicken my skin and tolerance for rude people.
