Reasonable gun control is hitting your target with the first shot.

I'm thinkin' seriously of a CZ. Would LOVE a SA only one because of what I hear might be a little better trigger. The stainless one catches my eye but it's DA/SA.
Jeremae, you didn't say WHERE (are the best prices on CZ from here...to there) in your initial post. So, color me frustrated! What have you found...and WHERE?

I had already talked to the four shops listed on CZ USA site, carter's, fountain and tripod feeders in spring would have to order and wanted around $500 to $520 for SA.
Collector's has one in stock and want's $499.
Didn't know academy carried CZ....
Will post when I find best bargain.
He is pushing to get one listed at $440 on gunbroker but I explained that is basically same price when you add in shipping and ffl transfer and unless BIG discount I would prefer to spend locally.
we're looking for the SA because of the free fall mag, I think it would be better for IDPA... maybe I'm wrong
As for him having good taste, even though he shoots my 1911 as good as I do he wanted a 9mm ,not a 1911 9mm, no tupper ware or italians and thinks browning high powers are ugly (which endeared him to his mom who thinks the bhp is the prettiest gun)

Terrible Service + Terrible Prices = Fountain Firearms
I was quoted $620 cash price on a brand new XD-45 Service and $699 for a brand new Mini-14 a month ago. I asked if the salesman was joking and he replied rudely with "absolutely not!"
I walked right out. Won't be going back.

That much? I paid a couple bucks over $400 at one of the gun shows at George R. Brown about a year ago for an SA, NIB.Jeremae wrote:I had already talked to the four shops listed on CZ USA site, carter's, fountain and tripod feeders in spring would have to order and wanted around $500 to $520 for SA.

Thanks, Jeremae. I remember seeing the CZ @ Academy. Actually fondled on there as a matter of fact...quite a while back At any rate, I ended up gettin' the M&P 9mm. Added a sweet trigger job (3.5 lbs) and a fiber optic front sight and it's quite a shooter! That CZ, however, still 'feels' really nice!
Even checked into the trigger job for it. The waiting list is REALLY long (as in many, MANY months) so...For the time being, I think I'll call my thirst quenched? But one of these days...

Jeremae.
Don't worry about the mag brake on a 75B.
It can be made to"free fall" in about 10 minutes and a Thank You.
The 75B can be used in SSP or ESP, and a 15lb hammer spring
will make a very nice DA/SA trigger.
If you get it, let me know and we'll fix it.
