My trade...

#1

Post by RECIT »

I traded a Beretta CX4 9mm with a few goodies for a CAI CETME last night. The CETME looks to be fired very little. I just traded him straight up and I think we were both pleased. Now I need to get to the range this weekend and see how she does.

That was a good deal for you! Way to go. Right now being able to trade for a semi rifle like these and come out good is almost impossible.

I plan on buying another CX4, but those will not be banned I don't think. And the CETME rifles are a lot more than a CX4 to buy new. I am happy and I will have a range report after the weekend.

In a year, that Cetme could fetch 3 CX4s easily. Good trade.

Well I went to my private range this weekend and tried out my newly acquired CETME. It shot wonderfully. I had one FT-Feed in 200rds. It was the mags fault though not the rifles. I shot Monarch brass and Monarch steel cased ammo. Just plinking stuff. Both ran fine for me. I was surprised the steel cased ammo did not give me any feed issues, but happy cause now thats what I am going to use from now on. I traded for this rifle knowing how expensive it was going to be to plink...but I am happy to say I can shoot it for the same price as my Ar when I shoot the steel. The sights are pretty much plain battle rifle peep sights that get the job done, but do not hit home runs in my book. I need to spend some more time shooting from a bag to get them sighted in really nice. All in all I am happy to make a new addition to my collection and hopefully a weapon I will have for many years to come.
