Hi guys & gals

Thing must be speeding up in Austin. I'm entering phase two as of today.

Application Received per USPS Return Receipt - April 5th
PIN Received Today- May 10th (Letter dated May 4th)

35 days and counting. I guess they liked the way I arranged the
paperwork in my packet. I can't think of any other reason that I got
mine so fast and some of the other good folks here have been waiting
a whole lot longer than me.

Hope this bodes well for all of us. :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin:

Looks like I have to relinquish the title of longest wait... mine was "only" 120 days. I guess I only get to have the longest wait for someone who didn't get "additional information" requested.
Sorry K, no additional info requested. Nov. 5 to March 16., 131 days door to door.

I guess, we've learned our lesson about prayigng for patience, huh? :lol:

Son sent his app in on March 25, it was "signed" for on the 28th, & he finally received his PIN a couple days ago.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me

General concensus seems to be that, if you get something kicked back from Austin to be redone (or signed, as in my case), it will take about a month-ish from the time Austin gets everything back in. I would think fingerprints needing to be redone might take longer, because they can't do the background checks without them, but I could well be wrong.

Good luck with the waiting. I'm miserable at it. I would say that I keep hearing "I hate waiting" in my head, but that would probably get me a psych disqualification for my CHL! :lol:

I can understand the 30 days to "'process Application" to do the background stuff but I still have no idea why it takes the first 30 days to enter someone into the system. Albeit, I am in the second 30 so moot point but would be interesting to know!

Kalorg = 120 days
Lrb111 = 131 days
I'm gaining on both of you, but hopefully I won't catch you. I'm at 91 today, with no issues, nothing returned, no addition information requested, just 91 days of "Processing Application"........ :(

Yall giving them a call down in AUS?? If no success, you may want to contact the office of your TX Rep or Senator....cause...that doesn't sound right time wise...

Been calling since late April, told that they are waiting on FBI, unknown issue, unknown time to resolve, just waiting. All other paper work is completed. My next call is Tuesday, as I call every Tues..... :) :)
