Two years to submit paperwork

Two years to submit paperwork
I took the CHL class in late Jan 2007 and only recently sent in my paperwork (long story). Does the entire CHL process (bg check, approval, license sent, etc) need to be complete by Jan 2009 or just the submittal of the paperwork to Austin (which is done)?

Why are you asking? Are you predicting a change in CHL statutes?

Oh, I thought you were implying that there would be no more CHL by than. As one might say, "my bad".

Re: Two years to submit paperwork
I am a little concerned about the future of concealed carry but my question was around my own two year period.
So, as long as I have submitted my paperwork to Austin within that two year period, should I be OK, regardless how long it takes them to process? Anyone had a similar situation?

I am not an instructor but I stayed at a "Holiday Inn Express". I am pretty sure that you only have one year to send in your paperwork after taking the course.

Re: Two years to submit paperwork
Your application must be received by DPS no later than 2 years from the date on your TR-100 (the completion form you got from your instructor) Unless you did an online application and paid online with a credit card - then you only have 1 year to get the paperwork in.
