I live in Dallas county. I feel really bad for the folks that live in the areas affected by Ike and are STILL waiting (much, much longer than we have).

Same here... I actually mailed my paperwork in on the 16th, however. I've been lurking also, I figured it would be easier to keep myself from thinking about it than to come here and complain alot ;)
As long as it shows up in the mail before my birthday next week, I'll be a happy camper!
Geeeezzzzzzzzzz!!!! Congrats. Seems like there ought to be a "special" room for Harris County applicants. Or they should state in the information section that : "Harris County applicants will be subject to extreme and extended waiting due to the fact that we can find tons of excuses for why we can drag our foot in getting apps processed." I expect anyday to get an e-mail or letter in the mails stating: "To Harris County Applicants. We apologize for the delay, but due to the fact that the temperature dropped down into the 40's last nite, it will take longer to process applications. Please feel free to contact our office, although we don't man the phones."
I know, I know.......patience is a virtue. So is living in a lower populated county. The benefits of country living. I knew I should have claimed my residence to be my place in Crockett (Houston County)...................I live, I learn.
