Here are two of my five, the big ones.
There are three others, and they love nothing more than cutting loose with all of their voices at any invaders of their territory, which includes people on the other side of the cul-de-sac, squirrels on the fence and garbage trucks.

Um, yeah...get ready! I notice a chair on your back porch. Prepare to remove it or have it eaten!Sangiovese wrote:He's a German Shepherd. Aside from that, he's the kind that likes to eat the carpet... but we're workin' on thatJRG wrote:So what kind of dog is Magnum?

My mom found this german/lab mix (I think) last winter that was dumped near their lake house in Whitney. Of course the dummy I am, fell in love with her and took her. My back porch hasn't been the same since. She ate every tiki torch, lawn chair and even the malibu lights. She's not even a year old, but gets better every day about minding. At least she's house trained... She's got a loud, scary bark also. Good luck! You'll need it for a year at least

**UPDATE**
One year later, here's the fully functional home security system, all 100 pounds of him!
And yes you were right, he DID eat everything in the backyard lol. But I love to hear his bark when the doorbell rings.

Good for you! No better security than a well trained dog. Especially when you're sleeping.

Great looking pup. I may be in the market for one myself, and like Crossfire would like the breeders info if it's not too much trouble.

That's a great looking home security system. I had a German Shepard when I was growing up and he was the best friend I have ever had. Now, however, I have a very small security system, but nothing goes on outside without her letting me know about it.

I can't believe it's been 15 months. They grow up so fast... <sniff>Sangiovese wrote:One year later, here's the fully functional home security system, all 100 pounds of him!

Here's my home security system at work. Not sure if she'll help much in a home invasion, but the back yard is safe from rabbits...
