Heh, you could always go back and "get both."

I did just that early last week. I had owned a 1911, but just last week I found a 2nd Generation G17 at a pawnshop for $300.

Personally I think of it more as a fun gun. 9mm is relatively cheap to throw down range, and its fun to fire off 17 rounds. Heh after I bought it I ordered an extra 17 round magazine and two of those long 33 round magazines. Having 100 rounds of ammo in 4 magazines is pretty cool.

That being said I do prefer the 1911 and it will be what I will carry.

FWIW, Get both. This will give you options.
I have a G21 and SW1911sc that I alternate as a carry weapon and love them both. Just my .02

WoW.. $299.00 for the G17 at a Pawn Shop??!!! :grin: :grin: I have to start checking all Cash America Pawn shops in the DFW area..LOL!!
