Austin get-together, when is good for you?
So it's getting to be that time of year when the weather is cooling down, and a daytime group shoot starts to sound like a good idea. To give everyone time to arrange their schedules, I've set up a poll with Saturday dates to vote on. Please select any of the days that will be good for you. We've got a considerable number of Austin folks new to the forum since last year, so there's the possibility for a good turn-out.
If you have suggestions for another date, you're more than welcome to post those in the comments below.
The plan so far is to get together at Lone Star Gun Range in Lockhart around mid-day and then have dinner at one of the good local barbecue establishments. LSGR allows drawing, moving, and shooting, which is why I selected it for the get-together. Other suggestions are welcome if you know of another place suitable for this group shoot.
EDIT: Get-together has been scheduled for 10/25. See details here:

Well I am in considering Lockhart is a stones throw away.

Looking at the calendar those dates are Friday's, the 17th and 24th are both good for me though. If you do make it on a Saturday, the 25th is good for me. Lonestar is a great idea, I already have a membership.

Silly me, my mistake. Poll has been update to reflect the correct dates.atxbandit wrote:Looking at the calendar those dates are Friday's, the 17th and 24th are both good for me though. If you do make it on a Saturday, the 25th is good for me. Lonestar is a great idea, I already have a membership.

Bother, I can only make one of those (but I'm not saying which so I don't sound like a vote-begging whiner).

My sons and I would like to attend.
One of my sons is a Caldwell counte Deputy Constable and he has been to that range several times.
He hasn't taken me out there yet though.
Maybe we could all get together.

Figured those were the days you meant. With the exception of the 18th any of those days are good for me. I am taking KR training' Handgunning: Beyond the Basics class on the 18th. Looking at Lonestars website they are having CHL classes on the 11th and 25th and a NRA class on the 18th.

Just checking in on the poll - looks like the 25th is the most popular so far.
I'll let the poll run a bit longer (and bump it to the top for people that didn't see it) and we'll figure out a good date.
