The grip is only a fraction larger than the 9 and .40 XD's and much more cofortable than a Glock. 13+1 rounds of .45.

Great shooting too!

I currently have a P3AT, PM40 and all of the rest are 45ACP. Not opposed to the 40, just like the 45 better.

Txinvestigator, what is price range at DFW and do you have them in stock?

I have a 45ACP Tactical model. It's very nice. I have small hands and it fits just fine. XD's rock!

My 45 has a little under 1K rounds now. It was a mixture of factory loads and reloads. ZERO HICCUPS to date.

We have em, I'll double check the price and let you know. Between 5 and 525 I think, closer to 5.

One of the deterrants for me buying the XD is that I was just about being forced to buy a holster in their combo pack. I was unable to find one without it from any local shop. I agree that it is a great deal if you are a Kydex fan.....I am not.

Is that the case with other XD's other than the Subcompact?

Its only a couple of dollars more, worth the cost of just the mag holders really.

The goodies in the combo pack are practically a freebie, and a brilliant marketing move by Springfield. Who else sells a "ready to carry" package? Nobody that I know of.

Big XD fan here. I have the 9mm subcompact, and rented the .45ACP today. LOVED it. Might end up buying one later on.

Springfield has a lifetime warranty on their products, and their service is excellent.

Only bad part: I think they are ugly. Not that it really matters for a CHL weapon, but hey.

I got my Bitone XD9 at the pasadena gunshow for 458 out the door. IT came only with two mags, brush, and a lock.

You can pick up a Xd45ACP at carters for 479 + tax. That's a great price.

You can always sell the gear if u don't want it.

It's no secret that I am a fan of the XD.

I have well over 11,000 rounds through my 9mm Sub-compact. I can honestly report that I have never had a single malfunction of any kind.

I trust it with my life.

I do not own an XD-45, but I have put a fair share of rounds through them. They are outstanding. I cannot tell a difference between the slightly larger .45 frame and the standard full-sized frame. Performance is exceptional, ergonomics are superb, accuracy is great, and recoil is quite manageable. If you were to pick one up, I am confident that you will love it.

Springfield did it right with the XD. I bought my XD-45 about a month ago and it is one sweet shooter. I really like the way it feels ergonomically in my hand. I am just glad it was not the first handgun I ever owned, if so it would probably be the only handgun I ever owned. It is that good....

no biggie on the holster for the XD-9sc. several choices in leather out there. high noon holster makes a nice one. Milt Sparks can build you one also.
