Heading to Broken Bow, OK for vacation. Any weird stuff in OK I need to know about with CHL reciprocity?

Check in the "Other States" forum. I know it's been asked before. You can find the main pertinent points of law for any state at: http://www.handgunlaw.us/

I do know that Oklahoma has a caliber limit. It's illegal to carry anything larger than .45 caliber. I'm pretty sure that also allow any "no gun" sign to be legally binding, not just specific signs. I don't know what the penalty is for carrying in an off-limits location.

I think you are also allowed only one gun.

This is NOT correct!

Here is the link to Oklahoma's carry laws. Please feel free to locate the one gun limit.

The >.45 caliber limit is on page 3. Remember that they, to my knowledge, have never defined what 'larger than .45 caliber' really means. .45acp, .460 Rowland are .451". .45 Colt, .454 Casull, .460S&W are all .452".

I made the same mistake before. I think it was when we discussing several different states at once. IIRC, it's New Mexico that limits you to one gun at a time. Don't quote me on that one either, though. ;-)

I would agree on New Mexico, but cannot put my finger on the statute.

Handgunlaw.us is NOT as easy to navigate as the old Packing.org.

They're not hard to find, nor too hard to read; clearer than TX IMHO.

Last trip I made to OK, I found the info about carry, but had a hard time finding laws on use of force/lethal force. If anyone can link to that info, I'd be grateful.

Edit: found something, about castle doctrine...

Still looking for a more general description, like TX has.

anytime. I've researched OK pretty well. I'm from there and have relatives there, so I travel N frequently. OK is at least as CHL friendly as TX, maybe more so (signs). I keep a cheat sheet in my Day Runner.

I travel through OK occasionally and have wondered about entering the "Choctaw Nation" or "Cherokee Nation". How does OK law (or does it) apply in these areas? I've noticed they even have their own license plates. I haven't worried about it as I stay on the major highways and am passing through, but would be interested to know.

Yup, you are correct; It's New Mexico. NM State Statues, Chapter 29-19-6(C)(4)
(4) the category and the largest caliber of handgun that the licensee is licensed to carry, with a statement that the licensee is licensed to carry smaller caliber handguns but shall carry only one concealed handgun at any given time.
