If you look in the Market place sub forum here there is a section for FFL's. You will be able to find someone there. Or you can go to www.gunbroker.com and they have an FFL finder there as well. Anyone charging $50 should not get you business ever. And if you are on this board I'm going to make an assumption, yes yes i know what they say about assumptions, you have a CHL, which makes the Transfer even easier on the FFL.
I would never pay more than $25 for a transfer. Any more is not worth it. I'd rather give a guy $25 for the transfer and spend an extra $25 in gas just on principle of doing business with someone that's not out to bend me over.

I wouldn't pay more than $20 unless the FFL was less than 5 miles from my house or work. It's easy money for the FFL. Hand you the form. Take care of other customers while you fill it out. Check the form and compare to your license. Hand you the gun. Make an entry in his bound book. Five minutes of work tops.

+1 on Mr.Scott and Tarkus. I won't do business with anyone that charges over $25, or with anyone that charges sales tax. In a metropolitan area such as San Antonia that shouldn't to too hard to find. I use Gunbroker's FFL locator, like some here have suggested.
