Stupid, but could have been staged for the avid-anti's.

Re: You think she'll ever touch a gun again?

I too am pleased with the response. I received the video as a "you've got to see this. it is so funny". While I can see the humor in her (obviously) overreaction, the basis of the video itself is completely disturbing. Finger on the trigger, one in the chamber, and you throw blackcats at her...where is the logic with that? I'm with LediJedi...bleach in the gene pool. Imagine if the fireworks had a short fuse and blew up in his hand? Then the sweet justice may have been funnier. Karma!

I don’t know maybe it was me but when I watch it again it looked as if she was actually trying to pull the trigger but couldn't figure out the how the safety worked. Some about the grip and how it adjusted like she was squeezing while pointing it at the bottle of water on the table. Maybe she should not touch one again but that was not the way to do it. Specially being outside in the open like that. What if she freaked and shot a kid 3 blocks over just caused it lined up just wrong. Staged or ont that is stupidity at its finest.

I'm with you guy's, it must have been staged was my 1st reaction.
wildscar is right it looked like she put one in the hole and was trying to pull the trigger, but I can't see if the safety was on. It looked like a 1911 so maybe she tried but the grip safety wasn't fully de-compressed.
All in all a stupid thing to do!

That clip recently aired on Attack of the Show (geek show)
and they have something for
online videos call the Shennanigan report. . .long story short, watch the video again and notice the water bottle in front
of the woman then watch it magically turn into a bottle of orange soda (or visa versa, forgot. . .) but yea, stupid, guy and
stupid woman.... Treat EVERY gun as if it were loaded!

You can initially see an orange colored drink to her right on the table.
The water bottle is well in front of her. When the husband opens the screen door, you can still see the edge of the orange drink to the left of the water bottle.
It may have been staged, but the drink doesn't appear to change.

Re: You think she'll ever touch a gun again?
I just want to point out that a lot of gun owners in some towns and cities might be isolated gun owners, since everyone is afraid of discussing guns because they could lose their job or friends. I know a lot of my friends don't like (hate) guns and the ones that have guns, I don't hang out with cause their retards. Isolation doesn't really help ignorance or stupidity. I would think, that if the facts about what that guy did (real or fake) were brought to his attention he would be very sorry that he did it or, like lead_jedi says, someone find the bleach.
I only just recently started thinking about "what if I shame the chl holders" and that "I don't want to do anything that could jeopardize our RKBA." I always respected firearms, I just didn't think about the bigger picture. I knew if I wasn't responsible with firearms I could get killed, or someone else could, but I had no clue it could hurt our cause. I just didn't think it through.
We need to come up with a better way to educate people. Maybe a traveling seminar on guns in america or something, if you offer punch and pie everyone will come. Teach people the history of guns and what they mean. Maybe a entertaining weekly podcast or something promoting being responsible with guns. I'd volunteer to do all the technical work, but my face wasn't made for tv. I'm more of a glock, we need a tricked out 1911 on screen lol.
ps: everytime I hear the name "attack of the show" I die a little inside :-(, does anyone remember the screensavers, or ttv, or unscrewed :-(.

I was an avid Tech TV / ZDTV Fan back in the day! Leo Laporte was on almost every show! I learned a lot of about computers from watching them (they are the ones who got me into Linux) and owe a little to them for getting me where I am today with IT.TexasComputerDude wrote:...

the funny thing is, I think it was my fourth grade teacher who drilled the difference into my head. I think i'm in some kindof rebellion phase lol.
she was mean, I had to stay after school for an hour every day until I learned my multiplication tables.
I wasn't gonna do it, but lo and behold, I know all my timeses.
