At what age did you become a CHL holder ?

39 - I've had my license since December.

I took the class a few weeks before my 36th birthday. I got my license a few weeks after my 36th birthday.

I turned 55 in Oct., 2007, and received my first plastic in Feb., 2008. I got my CHL for number of reasons, but one reason was that declining health, vigor and physical capacities as I've grown older makes a legally carried gun into a great equalizer.

22 and waiting for the day they sell lifetime licenses. All u would have to do is requal every 8 or so years and as long as you kept your nose clean, keep on truckin

Age 60 - Had just moved to Central Texas from El Paso. My mother still lived in El Paso and was pretty sick and I was always driving from Central Texas to see her and thought it would be a good idea to have some protection on those long drives. My mother is gone now and I did my first renewal last year.

I got my permit after Texas passed the law in 1995 when I was 25 and have been legally packing ever since.

Took the class right after I turned 19, been carrying since that summer.

I was 51 years youthful when I received my plastic in the mail. Mrs. Anygun and I took the class as soon as we could when we relocated back to Texas from Kalifornistan. We left Texas in 1994 shortly before then Governor Bush corrected Ma Richards' severe error in judgement. I was unable to obtain a CHL in Kalifornistan since (A) I was not in the right political frame of mind or party and (B) I could not afford the appropriate level of monetary campaign support required by the sheriff of Contra Costa County even if I could stomach putting on the demokrat facade required when handing the check to said sheriff.

Took the class when I was 20 and got my license the first year they were available. I shot my Dad's 38 Super in Elgato's class....The class was held in an old airport classroom that has since been turned into a neighborhood.
