Re: .22 holster?
I too have been looking and the only thing I have found today was a general holster from uncle mike's at my local firearms store for $18 but I would like an dedicated 22/45 holster that would fit and function better than an genral holster design.
A fobus was something I searched for but could find nothing and I even looked for a dedicated Ruger holster but no luck so far.
Also the mag carrier's I looked at where way to big for the 22/45 magazines, so I guess I will still be searching for something at least serviceable.

Re: .22 holster?
Bianchi makes a Model 7000 "AccuMold" synthetic holster and Galco makes the outstanding DAO Dual Action Outdoorsman holster for the Ruger Mk pistols but they accept pistols only up to 5 1/2 inches.
The DAO is very adaptable and has a cross-draw optional carry. The pic below shows a DAO for an X-Frame. The DAO for the Ruger is going to have the same characteristics but will look a little different.

Re: .22 holster?
I use an Uncle Mike's Sidekick size 3 for my Mark II. Its made to slip your belt through. I just use a seperate belt so I don't have to hassle with the belt I'm wearing. Makes it easy to get on and off. My Mark II is about 10 inches long overall and fits
in the size 3 very good. Have been using this set-up for about 15 years.

Re: .22 holster?
there are a number of nylon holsters that will "carry" a 22/45, but the one's I have used do not allow a smooth draw due to the front sight blade snagging. As for the real custom fit holsters, I have NOT seen any advertised specifically for the MkII/MkIII 22/45.

Re: .22 holster?
I did a search on eBay just now using "MarkII holster" There were several holsters advertised as specifically for the
MarkII. Saw some name brands that I recognized.

Re: .22 holster?
please note that big 54r and I BOTH stated we were looking for Ruger 22/45 model holsters. There is a difference between the "standard" Ruger Markx pistol and the Ruger Markx 22/45 pistol. The grip frames are not the same.

Re: .22 holster?
That is true. However, the grip frame doesn't have anything to do with the holster as it remains outside. The grip frames are not the same.
A 1911 holster doesn't care whether you carry a single stack gun or double.

I just went to your website and looked at the Bianci...I would like to see one with the 22/45 in it, then I'm getting one! That's exactly what I have been wanting!
Thanks

Re: .22 holster?
because of the upcoming psc forum day I got the uncle mike's sidekick general holster for my 22/45 and it seems like it will work for the class. It fit's snug and draw's easy so I don't thiunk my wife will have any problem's, it also seem's durable enuff.
The mag holder's on the other hand are way to big, I got some yesterday at the Pasadena funshow from pro-tech holsters, it is a double that will need to be 2 deep in each pocket so I need to find 2 more 22/45 mags. They where $22 buck's at the show so maybe I can get the local gunstore to order some for about $18 apiece which is what I got my last 2 for...
