ON-LINE APPLICATION QUESTION
After you fill out the on-line application and get your packet in the mail how long do you have before you have to take your class and test? Short and simple, does it expire after a certin amount of time?
Thanks,
Larry

Re: ON-LINE APPLICATION QUESTION
When I applied online the receipt stated that I had one year to submit the application.

When you apply online the application will expire automatically in one year.

Re: ON-LINE APPLICATION QUESTION
As others have said, you have one year to send in your application. If you wait over a year, you can and should still use the same application, but you will have to pay the fee again. Your initial TR-100 (training certificate) is good for two years, but all renewal applications must be sent in within six months of taking the class.

Re: ON-LINE APPLICATION QUESTION
Austin has informed me in the past that the 12 month for new CHL or 6 month for renewal CHL expiration date begins with the earliest date on the tr-100. But, of course only if they are different. I have run across this when someone had taken the class portion and wants a later date for the range qualification due to time or scheduling or even failing the qualification test.
Re: ON-LINE APPLICATION QUESTION
I believe you are correct that the online application may expire in one year. But, I think you will also loose any monies paid online. OUCH! Not good. Get-Er-Done and mailed in asap.

Re: ON-LINE APPLICATION QUESTION
Hello,
I had a question on how long it takes (generally) to receive the packet once you completed the online app? I did mine on Saturday.
I do realize that there is a holiday involved in the time frame too.
Does anyone think I should have my packet by December 6th (date of my CHL course)?

Re: ON-LINE APPLICATION QUESTION
During a "normal" week, I did my online app on Tuesday and had the packet form the state the following Monday. So I'd GUESS you'll have yours before you take your class.

That was what I was hoping (under 'normal week' circumstances of course).Morgan wrote:During a "normal" week, I did my online app on Tuesday and had the packet form the state the following Monday. So I'd GUESS you'll have yours before you take your class.
