What does "certificate active" mean?

#1

Post by dws1117 »

Checked the DPS web site for the status of my application and in stead of "processing application" it said "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active".

What does that mean?

Please let it be good news, but I want to know even if it is bad.

lol, what else could it mean? You're too much of a pessimist, but how can anone blame you, you've been waiting 4 months, I'd be pretty pessimistic by now also.
Congrats sounds like its on its way! :D

Having not even received my PIN#, I emailed the DPS today, she emailed me back and said I should have it by the end of April. I sent it in at the begining of March, I wonder if her response was just a 'shut up and leave me alone' type, or she actually checked.

My thinking is the squeaky wheel gets the grease, so, as politely as possible be that wheel.

anyway congrats again dw!

Thanks for all the positive responses. What I am curious about is the "certificate active" part.

Yes lately I have been very pessimistic. Kind of the way things have been going, but I have every reason to believe that everything will work out just fine. I just have to be patient, which is something I have difficulty doing.

I just checked mine and I got the same message! Yay! I was expecting an uphill battle for another 30 days to get it through.

Very nice.

Hate to be the party pooper, but it doesn't actually mean that it is in the mail. It means that you have been approved, but it took my licence about another 2 weeks from the time I saw that message until it was actually in the mail.

How fast you get it depends on how far backed up the ID processing dept is. It might take several days for them to physically make the license. Then figure 2-3 days in the mail, excluding Sundays of course. Expect it to take at minumum of 5-7 days to get to you, and don't be suprised if it ends up taking a few days longer.
