Welcom to the forum. It has been said many times this is a great place to be. I called Quitman home while working in Law Enforcement. I was stationed in Wood County from 85-89. My youngest son was born at the big hospital there. Again Welcome!

You are surrounded by neighbors. Dad grew up in Deport. Just outside of Paris. Mom in Greenville. I have been to your church one time. How long you been going there? PM's. 42?? You play?? Us too. Welcome aboard.

Welcome from another newbie :o .. we have been married for 33 yrs w/ three grand kids, so I'm a distant second from your accomplishment!! This is a great site to hang-out. Our initial common denominator is CHL and contrary to common perception it's not a gun totting/trigger happy society!! I found it to be highly cultured, educated and intelligent society of certified good guys!! Who was it who said that an armed society is a polite and peaceful society ;-) ;-) ....See you around!!

Hi Neighbor----Welcome!

I'm east out 2088 about 19 miles from you (Perryville).
I guess I'm just a kid next to you----I'm only 62 and been married 41 years.

Moved here from California last year and never looked back.

Hey Tx_42:

Glad to have another E. Tx CHL holder in the forum. We presently live in Frisco, Tx but we are looking to buy somewhere in E. Texas. I am very familiar with Quitman. I've sold some properties around lake Quitman when I was in the real estate business selling land. I have always liked Quitman & hope our Realtor finds us something there. We will be buying now to move into in a couple of years (maybe sooner) as retirement nears.

Hope to hear from you often.

Hiiiideee!

My Dad lives out east of Quitman in the Lake Lydia area...

Wood County, and Quitman have turned into a very interesting place over the last few years...
