60+ days and counting
Hey guys - DPS got my paperwork on April 7 and I still haven't received a PIN or any communication. I was hoping to have at least heard something by now. Did anyone else in here mail their packet in March or April? Have you guys heard anything?
Okay, back to the waiting room.

Mine was sent out at about the same time as yours. I've called and E-Mailed them with the same story, "Youre not in the System yet" Yada Yada Yada. I've E-Mailed Gov. Perrys office and they are "investigating" it, but I'm not holding my breath. Sit down here and have a adult beverage!!!

07 April 08: Paperwork sent.

Re: 60+ days and counting
We are in about the same time frame. DPS received my paper work on April 29. I do have a pin number, however, I applied on line. My current status is "Processing Application" I'm not sure a pin number will help you to much, I almost wish I didn't have one... I am driving myself crazy checking the tracking site!
I hope your wait is not to long...Good Luck!

Hello Sylus27, you are on the exact same timeline as me. My application was also recieved on April 7th, and I too have not yet recieved a pin number.I emailed the TXDPS last week, they said my application had "not yet been entered into the system". So the wait continues...

Re: 60+ days and counting
Same here... I mailed mine on the April 7th. They recieved it on the 9th. Since then I haven't heard a thing.
Re: 60+ days and counting
They are so backed up my status was "Packet mailed" for 90 days. On day 90 it changed to "Processing Application". On day 101 it changed to "Application Complete". Hang in there. It's frustrating, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Re: 60+ days and counting
The only "light at the end of the tunnel" is for those who have either received their license or have been advised application has been completed. For the rest of us there is "no light at the end of the tunnel" so please stop using that term. It means nothing with the current situation at the DPS.

Re: 60+ days and counting
Kicker - they got both of our applications on the same day, this should be interesting. I wonder if we'll be on the same timeline? I've heard of couples and friends who mailed their packets in together but received their licenses weeks apart. Keep us updated.

Re: 60+ days and counting
Today is my 60th day to wait. I applied on line in March and received my packet with my pin number about 10 days later. I took the class 04/13/08 and mailed the paperwork 04/15/08 via registered mail. On 04/17/08 I received the card back from Austin. As of matter of fact, I sent them a "polite email' enquiring email today to check on my status. Just like everybody here, I just have to wait a little bit longer.
On-line application 2/10/08
Received packet 2/20/08
Took class 4/13/08
Mailed packet 4/14/08
Austin recieved packet 4/17/08
Processing Application 5/1/08
Retook finger prints & mailed 7/7/08
Application Completed 08/04/08
Plastic in hand 8/8/08 - 112 Days
Received packet 2/20/08

Re: 60+ days and counting
Try 117 Days and counting here That was including a week of dealy for additional paperwork missing, but that is still just ridiculous

Officially your time didn't start until they had everything they needed... let's keep the numbers consistent. Your clock started on 18 May, sorry. I know it is still a long time, but we don't want to confuse numbers and stats here - we need accurate ones to get the problem fixed.Jesse1911 wrote: Try 117 Days and counting here That was including a week of dealy for additional paperwork missing, but that is still just ridiculous

Totally agree with that part. And calling it out like that emphasizes the problem that needs to be fixed.Jesse1911 wrote:They still didn't start till 3 months after they received my packet...very slow

Re: 60+ days and counting
DPS has had my application since March 11th. I called on June 11th and was told that everything looked good and they were finishing it up. We'll see what happens, my wife bet me I wouldn't get it until July 18th. I hope she is wrong but everyday that goes by its looking as if she is correct.sylus27 wrote:Hey guys - DPS got my paperwork on April 7 and I still haven't received a PIN or any communication.
