I just recently purchased a Springfield XD40. I need to get some nightsights installed on it, and have a trigger job done. This is going to be a CCW, so I don't want a competition trigger, I just want it lightened a little bit, and have most of the travel taken out (There is probably a full 1" of travel in the trigger). Does anyone know if any place in Houston (Preferrably NW, near Cypress) that I can try? I called carter's country, but they don't do any trigger work on pistols, and installing the night sights is $37.50. I could send it off to springer precision, or canyon creek, but I thought I would try to get it done in Houston first, if possible.
Thanks!

Russell at American Shooting Center does that type of gunsmithing but I do not know if he works on XD's. He is good about telling you if it is something that he does not have the equipment to do the job. His triggers job are 4 lbs minimum but very crisp. I have been pleased with everything he had done for me.

You might try Martin at Parkhill Gunworks. He is located on Reid Rd., just west of N.Loop and Irvington. His phone is 713-861-3234. I get no discounts or cuts for recommendations. Martin has refurbished several WWII pistols for me and has done an excellent job.

I used this guy for my 1911 because he was recommended by several here. He's south of town; I'm north. He was kind enough to mail my slide back to me.
