PIN Received
Just got the PIN in the mail this morning. The process is moving; albeit not as quickly as we would like it to move.

Congratulations! At least that's progress!
Your dates are almost identical to mine (mine was received in Austin 4/21), but I don't have my pin yet. Maybe after the holiday!
Yours came by mail, right? Not by email.
Here's hoping your (our) remaining wait is short!

Re: PIN Received
Another fine example of the disorganization going on in the CHL department. Maybe one of the proponents of the "poor over worked underpaid" theory can explain why a person would get a pin after 30 days while others don't have pins after 2 months.

Re: PIN Received
You hit that one right. Its been just over 8 weeks for us and 11 weeks for the wifes boss with nothing from the state. The wife even talked to the person that dps goes to for background checks locally and she said she has not even seen a request for checks come across her desk on us yet. There really is no rhyme or reason for it other than the size and staffing that the local dps office has and their ability to have the time to go request the checks.03Lightningrocks wrote:Another fine example of the disorganization going on in the CHL department. Re: PIN Received
Cowtown, that was received by snail mail, not email.
Re: PIN Received
Don't expect your status to say anything other than pending until it's already in the mail. I was hoping for an idea of where my application was in the process and it doesn't tell you that. It is pretty vague.
