Got the gps, and it's hard to conceal a Glock with my pants down below my butt.

I was in a situation (before I got my license and my gun) where I was washing my truck at a car wash place and a somewhat elderly black man (late 50's) asked if he could dry it for a couple bucks, said he was hungry. He seemed harmless so I said sure, as long as we have a deal that you will walk right across the street to that restraunt and get some food. He dries it somewhat okay, no big deal, I hand him his share and I fiddled around and watched him go right where he said he would. Cool right? I felt good. But then this younger black male (25 or so) walks up and just asks for some money. I said no I don't have any more I just gave it to that guy walking across the street. He persists and starts rambling "you sure man", "come on, jus' give me some change, you ain't got no change" and quickly approaches me as I begin to get in my truck. My window was down and as I watched him he was looking in, looking at me, looking inside my door (which is where my wallet usually stays) and gets slightly aggravated. I thought I was going to have to knock him over the head to get him to leave. Since then I haven't given any money out to any one.
This wisdom from a Dallas cop bears repeating.CHL/LEO wrote:The majority (large majority) of Dallas Police Officers are fed up with the crime we have and are constantly telling each other that we wish more people would get a gun so as to protect themselves from criminals. Every time some thug is shot by a citizen who they're trying to victimize is a win as far as we're concerned. That's why the CHL and Castle Doctrine laws were written in the first place.
Everyone that steps foot in Dallas should be prepared to defend themselves and not rely on us to do so. 3,200 cops can't be everywhere and watch over 1.2 million people. Once 911 is called we become report takers and fugitive hunters. The odds of us arriving to a location while a crime is still in progress is somewhere between slim and none. And as the old saying goes, "Slim already left town" so in this case you're pretty well on your own.

There is NOTHING you said that is Racist, There is NOTHING I have said as Racist, Anyway, I could Care less what People think or say about me, I will never be Politically Correct.
But what I've said is the truth, I have had more problems with Blacks and Mexicans than whites, some, the same situation as you described, I bought my dream Vehicle about 2 years ago, a Jeep Wrangler, you know they aren't cheap, was at the car wash, with a friend of mine, believe it or not, he was black, he sat there joking with me because I washed and waxed the jeep twice, I had a homeless guy come by, asked for money, he was white, told him I just dropped my last bit of change in this machine, he walks off.
Black dude, wearing his pants down off his tail end comes up on a bicycle, he asked for money, told him I didn't have none, he started cussing Leroy in the jeep, asking why he was hanging with a white guy, the BG spits on the passenger side window where Leroy was setting, then picks up some mud and threw it on my hood and rides off.
Everybody knows that crime is bad, and with the current situation with Immigration, I feel its going to get worse, so I'm always alert, and know my surroundings when I'm out somewhere, when someone walks towards me, yes, Black or Mexican
My alert Level rises and I rest my hand on my belt near my Glock, most people would do the same thing. Criminals want to Victimize those who aren't alert, take the unaware by suprise. That's why most people become victims, they don't think it could happen to them at anywhere, anytime.
I usually ask what they want before they get too close, 99% of the time, its Money. I can't recall the Last time someone asked for Directions.

I judge people equally. If you are dressed like a baggy idiot, and speak like a thug, I will treat you as such. If you finish every sentence with "you know what i'm sayin", then you are waste of good oxygen.Aggie_engr wrote:I hate to sound racist but Briankey I'm with you on this one. Most likely uttered by a middle class white suburban mall rat with fake bling and his hat turned sideways.Briankey wrote:"Yo sho right man, you knows what I's sayin"![]()

55 to 56% of violent crimes are committed by white people (90% male), as reported by the victim or witnesses. The only category where blacks are a majority of offenders is completed robbery with injury.
This page shows that victim and offender are more than twice as likely to be the same race as different races:

What this means in simple terms is that if you are white, and you watch only for threats from non-white people, you leave yourself open to being blind-sided by a white guy. (Which KBCraig already said).

I agree, if you only look out for non whites your missing half the threat....seamusTX wrote:You can find some interesting statistics from the U.S. Department of Justice here:
