Every once in a while, you will see a shortage on certain models from SA. For a while, it was the Loaded, then it was the Milspec. So I wouldn't be surprise if they are behind in production.

My point being.......

If you were making a gun that thousands of people are waiting for and you could sell as many as you could make, wouldn't you take every action possible to ramp up production on that particular model? Would it take you 6 Months to find help?

I actually think that their problem on the EMP is the lack of frames from Brazil.

I guess they have to balance quality and quantity, because if one goes up, the other usually goes down. They can probably hire new help who may not know their QC or manufacturing process. Who knows. I waited over 9 months for one of my SA, and no complains here.

They are extremely difficult to find in a shop, as you have found out! I did see one at DFW Gun Range a few weeks ago, but when I went back in to buy it, it was already sold. I picked up mine at the Dallas Market Hall show from SAWS. I had been looking at them for awhile. Your best bet might be to find another show to go to.

Longtooths, I bought mine at Gary's Guns in Orange County for $1040 total and he received another one a few days later. Since I am in Florida for a while, I don't know if he still has an SA EMP, but he moves a lot of SA product. I bought the EMP for my bride of 41 years since she does not care to shoot my 1911s in .45 ACP. The EMP handled most of the ammo I fed it except for Wolf ball.

call mcbrides in austin (512-472-3532) if you are willing to take a drive. they had one in the case last weekend. don't know if that is the only one.
you might find my prints on it.
lucky guy! my wife said, "didn't you just get a new gun six months ago?" don't you just hate when that happens?

WOOT! I had all but given up and hunkered down to wait for another shipment of EMP's to hit Dallas. When my buddy called me on Saturday with good news, Cheaper than Dirt in FT. Worth had a one EMP in the case. I called them and was able to have it put back for me and I picked it up last night (Monday)!!

Thanks for everyone's help I really appreciate it.

**Pictures to come, have to clean her up and put a few rounds down range.

BTW LTS........

Did yours come with 1, 2 or 3 Mags?

And, FYI......if it came with one of the older "Loaded" Coupons without any EMP stuff listed on it, you can still use the Coupon for extra EMP Mags. Just write in this code and send the Coupon in with the funds and you will get them:

EMP LOADED COUPON
Write in on the Coupon:

"PI6070 EMP 9mm magazine" ($19.50 each)
"PI4835 takedown piece" ($1.95 each)

50.00+ order is free shipping.
