Gun Ownership Poll (94.5 The Buzz)

#1

Post by RedRaider »

Listening to the radio this morning I heard that 94.5 The Buzz (Houston Radio Station) has a poll on their website concerning gun ownership. I just got to work and can't access this website, so if someone can kindly post the link for others I'd appreciate it. Based off some of their comments this morning I think we need to let them hear our voices through this poll.

I am kind of surprised by that poll. I normally think that most people that listen to The Buzz are not your normal "pistol packin rednecks".

This poll is even more messed up than such polls usually are. I returned to the page and was able to vote again. They don't say how many people have voted. It could be 11, with 7 voting for the RKBA option.

It's the only local station I can stomach, and even then, I only listen when there's nothing on Sirius. I think it's kind of funny that there are that many people out there with them. I mean, shouldn't that mean that 6/10 people you meet are potentially violent criminals, by media logic?

Yes, I agree that Houston has to have the worse radio stations. I was a long time listener of Stevens and Pruett and then the return of Pruett and Shannon. Since then I am pretty much only listened to XM or Internet radio. For the last year I have been listening to a morning show out of Florida that is pretty good.

Can you PM me with the FL station? From what I listened to this morning, the DJs weren't really critical of that many people saying they have guns. If anything, they were making fun of the people writing in bragging about how many guns they had in their car and using slang. I know the hosts tend to lean a little left, but (from what I heard) they seemed to be pretty respectful.

At least we can still go annoy him at Pruett's Guns & Ammo. ;-)

A little over 23% of the poll respondents say they don't own any guns. C'mon people. Help the economy and support the Constitution. Buy a gun today.

Considering the demographic that 94.5 caters to, I would think a huge chunk of those 23% are probably under 21 and in college or high school, or in some other way legally prevented from owning a gun. Probably should have put a response like "don't own one, but want one" or "can't legally own one."
