But for a CHL to post their own business just sounds incredibly hypocritical. You would think a CHL would know the statistics and realize that the restaurant would be safer with concealed carry allowed.

Edd Hendee is one of the hosts and owner of Taste of Texas restaurant. He talks on the radio fairly frequently about having his CHL and about gun control not being the solution.

A caller this morning was discussing gun control and going over all of the criteria for someone to obtain a CHL here in Texas and towards the end of the call he asked Edd if his business was posted and he said YES. The caller said that he would never visit his restaurant

His legitimacy with me went out the window when he took money and went to Communist Red China for a vacation. I believe when I heard that it was the last time I ever listened to the station, Its really a shame because I thought Dan Patrick was the real thing, but he tends to surround himself with hypocrites like Hende and Matthews. Its all a lost cause. Talk radio really stinks in Houston these days. Nothing is good anymore.

I actually mainly listen for Pat Gray. I never did care for Hendee. He seems to shut people up if they disagree with him and then laughs at them. Pat Gray is getting that way a little. I find myself listening to XM more and more. I wish they would put Glenn Beck on in that time slot.

Interesting. I was just there a few months ago, and didn't see a 30.06 at the entrance. I normally scan the entrance of any place I go into, and a valid 30.06 is hard to miss...

Is the location on I-10 the only one in town? Has anyone actually seen a 30.06 at Taste of Texas? I'm not doubting the original poster, but just wondering if I totally missed the sign or if the owner has a 30.06 on 8.5x11 paper behind a plant or something?!?

I've never noticed a sign and since we live in the area, eat there frequently for varying reasons, including my entertaning clients.

I will now stop going there for both personal and business purposes.

That's a shame as I have a lot of energy industry clients in West Houston, and the area lacks of nicer places to go.

I'll spread the word.

I wonder if Edd is a member of the Texas State Rifle Association? Someone needs to email TSRA and they will update their list of businesses banning CHL with Taste of Texas. Then anytime in the future when Edd talks about gun rights, someone can call in and ask why his is listed as anti-gun on the TSRA website.

As for Edd's radio program, it stinks, I rather listen to KTRH.

I eat there a few times a year myself. It is, after all, one of the top 10 steak houses in the country.

I was there last December and had my Kimber on my side. I do not remember seeing a 30.06 sign.

Before this gets out of hand, somebody needs to go to the restaurant and give us a photo of the 30.06 notice.

Not to cast disparagement, but let's not place blame in this one until we see proof.

Maybe in the county, but there's no way it's top ten nationwide.

On that I differ: http://www.tasteoftexas.com/.

It's a whopping good steak restaurant with a very good wine list. And it's in the fourth largest city in America.

I only hope we find it IS NOT posted 30.06.

Yes, can someone check it out? With the number of people here who have eaten there, it may just be a big misunderstanding.
