Sent in my application today

Post by CWOOD »

This year it looks like I'll get to go. I am really looking forward to it.

I have already arranged for the days off from work.

I have gotten my app in on time.

Now all I need is to reshoot a classifier. My current one expires the middle of March.

I am really looking forward to this. Really wanted to go when it was in Friendswood I couldn't. Then last year in Collin County the work situation fell through. Perhaps the planets are properly aligned this year. Crossing fingers.

There are about 40 slots left for the Texas State IDPA Match. We are a little over 3/4 of the way to 200 shooters. With 6 weeks before the match they will fill quickly.
See y'all in Greenville on June 7th.

I'm thinking about coming along to watch. This will be my first observation of what goes on. I may as well start with the best.

Any tips for an observer (Other than stay the heck out of the way?)?

BTW I do want to get involved. I'm waiting on some leather to arrive, but, depending on what I hear and see that day, I may have some other options. Really sounds like something I want, and need to do.

Looking forward to it!

Dave

We have a "Shooter's Round-Up" planned for Friday, June 6th late afternoon to early evening. (After the SO shoot) It starts about 5:30 or so. We'll have drinks and appetizers....No Charge!!!! Last years version was really fun.

Dave....if you are classified MM or better your best bet would be to by some Comp-Tac gear, http://www.comp-tac.com sign up, http://www.ccidpa.org/sp_event/txs08_inf.html and come shoot. We are a very new shooter friendly bunch here in North Texas.

You are correct.....the results will be better for you in a higher division. I wish I could come and watch you shoot. I will be there in 2009.

I don't get it..........last year we got bumped to SS and I shot expert in the qualifier this year. I would expect to be at the bottom of the food chain in SSP Ex, right? I haven't had a chance to shoot in months because of work and it looks slim that I will be able to before the match. I think I'm gonna wind up having to simply win a pistol to make me feel better afterwards
