Congratulations to forum members HighVelocity and SRVA. They, with others from our forum competed in the Louisiana State IDPA match last month. HighVelocity won Division Champion is SSR division and SRVA was first in Expert class in SSR. Here is HighVelocity with someone we all know who was also overall Match winner.

Congratulations!
Was the match held at the range owned by that "someone we all know", at Princeton?

Thanks for the kind words folks. Yes, it was at Jerry's place in Princeton. I'd say that it was the most difficult match for a revolver shooter that I've ever shot. SRVA was right there and I know he'll be even tougher to beat at TX state in June. But, I look forward to shooting with him again.

Awesome shooting by both of you guys! That picture immediately became one of my favorites
For those of you that have never stepped up to a competitive line of fire......please trust that doing it with a wheelgun is a whole different animal. I don't have the guts to do it.
I can't imagine two better folks to compete at the same match! I wish I could have been there.

just curious as to which revolver you used, and did you use a speed loader, or moon-clips?HighVelocity wrote:I'd say that it was the most difficult match for a revolver shooter that I've ever shot.
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.

After this photo was taken, the guy on the left in the wrap-around sunglasses stayed behind to give the guy on the right some pointers about wheel-gun shooting.
Seriously, HV's and SRVA's results are very impressive. Jerry likes all shooters, but to win SSR at the Louisiana State at his own range must have made you a friend for life.
I'm with jbirds: just the thought of trying to compete at all with a revolver is very intimidating to me. So here's an extra special
