Ruger LCP availability?
Anyone come across it? Gunbroker barely has any, and Carter's only got 3 in, one for each store. This is a hard bugger to find.

Like anything just hitting the market they will be few and far between. Also, expect to pay less a little down the road when supply hit the shelves.

I am also wanting one, but am waiting a bit for any potential bugs to be worked out. Buying the first revision of anything pretty much means you will pay too much, and get to be a tester for any bugs/issues not found in the initial testing process.

There's one in the case for sale at Bullet Trap in Plano. Sorry, I didn't get a price on it.

Picked mine up a week or so ago at Austin gun show. Dealer only had 2 and I got one of them. Seem nicer than a Kel-Tec. Will get to the range in a few days to try it out. Paid $290. Dealer said they should be around $260 after more hit the streets.

Isn't MSRP just $330?centex aggie wrote:I saw one 2day for $350. too much for me!

Street prices I've seen are in the $275 range.

Re: Ruger LCP availability?
Got mine today at the gun show in Port Arthur...$280 to replace the KT 3AT I have been carrying as my BUG for more than a year.
First impressions while doing a minor F&B this afternoon were that the overall quality of the Ruger is MUCH higher than KT... much tighter, fewer tool marks, smoother cycling of action, but a tad higher trigger pull. More to report after I get this puppy to the range next week.
Nothing wrong with KT 3AT, but it took MAJOR F&B to obtain reliability as BUG... don't need one that makes you worry about FTE & FTF problem.

Re: Ruger LCP availability?
After 100+ rounds today of Win WB, Cor-Bon Powerball, and Federal Personal Defense all without a FTF or FTE, I can say my new Ruger LCP is now my BUG. I have confidence in this little piece where I did not with the KT 3AT. It is certainly not a range gun, but one you carry all the time, but shoot only occasionally. I purposefully limp-wristed it a few times and did not have a malfunction. When cleaning, you don't have to worry about parts falling off it like the KT.

Good to hear a positive report. No failures even with intentional limpwristing is especially good to hear. Perhaps I'll be looking into getting one soon.
