Great thread. These little ones are our furture.

BTW, you must be very proud of your daughter. My daughter will be born in March and I hope I can do as well with her as seem to have done.

It's not a requirement that the kid is holding an AR.

Yesterday I ordered a Pink Cricket rifle for my granddaughter. She will be born in May. Just planning ahead.

So my wife says "what about your two grandsons?". She then looked up the rifle manufacturer

http://www.crickett.com/CrickettRifle/c ... rifle.html

and found several other stocks they would be better suited to the boys. Looks like two more rifles need to be added to the order.
Hey, she made me do it. ;-)

Kind Regards,

Tom

I don't have kids. (Yet) so I work on getting my adult friends into shooting.

Next month, i'm about to make a serious dent in California Hippiedom.
A friend of mine will be visiting from California, and she wants me to take her shooting.
She's from Berkeley, California
She voted for Fienstien
She's a vegetarian
She's a Lesbian.

How much more left wing can you get? Since I don't have kids, I have to affect the environment somehow!

PS TXinvestigator: You've got the exact same blinds we have. Does your wife hate them as much as mine does?

Your boy looks like he's been taught good form. How old is he?

The first picture wouldn't happen to have been at Gun Emporium would it?

He does have good form, thank you!, especially since he's only 6 yrs old.

And yes, that was at Gun Emporium!! My family frequents that range, our home away from home. Love hanging out talking with Ron on Saturdays.

I've only been to GE a few times. I like it much better than Carter's Country.
Pretty good for a six year old. How is he with a pistol?

Yes, I like GE better than CC too. Also, all the ladies that work at GE have taken a liking to my little boy, they call him the "unofficial mascot" of GE. Not sure how he is with a pistol, I'll probably wait another year or so before getting into handgun work with him. Where do you normally shoot?

In my mind. I never miss there. Seriously, sometimes it's GE, but mostly Shooter's Station. I've been going there for several years and I know everyone there and they know me. Wedensday nights they have an informal league and I try to make it at least every other week.

I'll probably start taking my boy out when he turns five. Like you with your boy, I'll start him with a jr .22 rifle.
