I have heard many people at the range state that they would enjoy the production of a reliable single stack 9mm pistol....I relize that Springfield makes a 1911 style, but they are a bit pricey. I bet this ends up being a popular carry gun.

I shot one of the 9mm in a smaller Kel-Tec style and found it to be very uncomfortable. It made a 9 feel like a .357!

Wow, under 13 ounces empty! Might have to use that accessory rail for a counterweight!

I question their claim of "narrowest" at 0.88", though. I guess it depends on where you measure it. The STI LS9 is only 0.765" across metal (1.065" across wood). KelTec and STI are in slightly different price ranges, though!

Bummer that there's only 1 magazine included.

I want to know if it has second strike capability like a P11 or if you have to work the slide before the trigger will reset like the P32.

Looks like Kel-Tec is also trying to compete with Kahr's PM 9. Kel-Tec does have Kahr beat in price and a few other categories like weight (albeit barely), but it'll be interesting to see if this new Kel-Tec is a reliable gun. Actually, I plan on adding an MK9 to my collection in the very near future.

+1 to what Geo says about reliability - and competition with Kahr.

Unless Kahr backs off their price, methinks the the new 9s will likely go for around $200 a copy less.

At least Kel-Tec is like some other manufactures with the "Lifetime Warranty". That is, if you send it back to 'em enough times (ovenighted at your expense, BTW), SOMEtime in your LIFETIME, they might make it right ...

Regrettably, PF-9s won’t hit the market until May. I’m sure I’ll buy a couple but I don’t see it replacing my current carry pistols (P-11 from home, P-3AT or P-32 in the house).

The PF-9 doesn’t have second strike capability, as it has a hammer block like the P-3AT. This is a trade off but at least you won’t worry if you drop it muzzle down on a concrete floor. The trigger pull is down to a smooth 7.5lbs and can be reduced by another pound if you’re willing to give up hard primer ammo (can you say Sellier & Bellot).

I expect the Gunshow price to be about $275-$285 in May, dropping to $250 by year-end. The MSRP is the same as the P-11, so the price should end up about the same after a year.
