I went to google and typed in "texas gun forum" and we are the 5th hit. Thats not bad. Keep up the good work and lets try and keep pulling in quality members to contribute in quality discussions!

I really enjoy this place

That's very surprising! I agree that we need to give a warm welcome to new members, but we also need to guard against letting growth change the "community" atmosphere that has developed here. To this end, I'm going to need everyone's help. I'm getting ready for a trial and my time is in short supply. With several new members (many of whom have not looked at their welcoming PM from me referring them to the mission statement) and the number of daily posts growing rapidly, I cannot be sure I read every post. When the trial is over and I get back to a normal routine, I'll have more time to devote to the forum - until the next trial of course!

I would greatly appreciate it if the veteran members of the forum would call a truce if/when they see a fight brewing, or ANY personal insults or attacks in a post. I don't want or expect anyone become an iron-fisted referee or to get drug into a war of words, but a guiding hand would really help me right now.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think we have trouble brewing, I just know my time is going to be focused elsewhere for a while.

Thanks,
Chas.

Do you ever get the feeling that Stevie likes to have the "last word" in EVERY conversation? ;-)
