My wife got me a gun magazine and some cash for shooting accessories. It's a nice start, since she's not really excited about guns.

I put it on layaway and my mother-in-law got the rest of it for me! Put 70 rounds through it yesterday with Longtooth. No problems.
Ruger SR9 w/ 17 round mags, and Safariland holster, no CHL yet, soon though.

My husband gave me this. It's not a firearm, but it's still pretty cool. I've been wanting my own lightsaber for a long time. Too bad it doesn't actually work, but I can always pretend.

Coolness. Mr brother-in-law and nephew have a couple of those. They can take a little more impact than some of the cheaper replicas.

Oops, I forgot.

My wife also bought me a range bag -- but we just bought two more pistols, so it's already too small.

We went on a "shoot-and-compare" this morning, with the idea of buying one. CZ75D compact 9mm, so far, so good.

But then we fired more 9mm, some .40's and some .45's. A Rock Island just latched on and wouldn't let go.

After a bit of hem-and-haw, we bought both. Now we have to stop at Wal-Mart for some ammo, after dropping her son at Hobby airport to catch Southwest back to Dallas. (she bought a range bag for herself, too -- she also wants a .22 rifle of her own, so we also looked at what they had in stock)

Added: step-son also gave me a very nice Bushnell scope (3X-9X) for my 10/22

Ruger MKIII target pistol. Red dot scope on the way, as well as spotting scope. I've been working on carving an anatomical grip, and ammo testing.

Anyone with preferences for .22 match grade ammo, I'd appreciate advice.
There is some debate about remington vs. federal on these. One guy ran a box of one brand (cannot recall brand) and it ruined his pistol. I saw it on youtube, but YMMV

Mother-in-law did get me a set of new electronic range muffs though.
Definitely not your stereotypical MIL. Electronic muffs? Elaborate; I thought my 29NRR "Terminator" muffs were the best I could hope for. I'm guessing these have a mic with a decibel cutoff that allows you to hear people better when someone isn't shooting. If so, that's cool.

I need to get pics, but my Christmas present was bought before Thanksgiving, and I've got about 750 rounds through it already. Ruger P95 9mm compact in stainless w/ manual safety. :thumbs2: :thumbs2:

Got a real nice Marlin model 60 .22 LR from my dad. Went to shoot it the other day and it's pretty darn sweet. My wife thinks it's a frivolous gun, but I think I won her over with the cheap ammo argument.
I've had a Marlin .22 for 18 years, and still love firing it... I've had it since I was 11, doesn't look like they've changed much. I've put thousands and thousands of rounds through the thing and she's still kicking. Best $79 bucks (in 1990) I've ever spent at Wal-Mart.

Agreed on the little Marlin. My grandfather gave me his. Its is a wonderful gun to shoot. As accurate as the day it left the box.

As for Christmas, along with some Academy gift cards and a return I made to the same store, I was able to walk out with a Bersa Thunder .380 Concealed Carry for $259+tax.
This thing is so small. The sights are shaved almost off, all the levers are smoothed to ease the draw. The hammer has been shrunk. The mag holds 8. I can't even intentionally snag it on anything when I draw it from my pocket (with holster of course).
I am throughly impressed.

Might you recall the youtube vid? That would be something I would like to see. I went through three brands Saturday, but they were only single offerings from Federal (Champion), Remington (22 target), and CCI (Greentag). The results were really mixed.

edit: I think i found the Video.
