This isn't a blooper but I had to present my chl to a leo for the first time. I was involved in a 3 car domino collision at a stop light. The local Georgetown officer working the accident asked all involved for driver's license and proof of insurance. I also handed her my chl, as required, with the other stuff and said, "I'm required to also give you this." She glanced at it to see what it was and stacked it with the other licenses, etc., without even looking up. She went back to the patrol car and did her thing. When she brought the licenses, etc. back, she handed it back without a word about whether or not I was carrying. (I was.)
She was a young lady about 30ish who was very professional and had a "polite-but I'm in charge" manner. I emailed the Georgetown pd the next day with a compliment on her professionalism in working the accident.

I'm glad you let the department know about it. That is about how I think the CHL should be handled. You met the law by giving it to her, but it really is nothing of concern.
