I just got my pager today. Looks just like that too. Funny, I'm also in networking in the health care environment.Wildscar wrote: Networking in a health care enviroment. I only have to wear it when I'm on call. It actually help me out sometimes. One day the wind blew open my cover garment and someone gave me weird look so a grabbed my pager and acted like it went off. We exchanged nods and that was that. Kinda like the waving of the hand and using a Jedi mind trick"This is not the weapon you are looking for" "Move along."

I will do my best to describe this in text.medicff0879 wrote:I have seen several pictures of people carrying their shells like that and I found it kind of difficult to get the shells out when I carried them brass down? It is a very tight fit (which I know is good) but its almost too tight to me, what do you guys recommend? I know its hard to demonstrate proper loading techinque from a side saddle in words, but maybe im trying to hold the SG wrong when loading?HighVelocity wrote:Nice collection medicff0879. I think you'll find it much faster to load from that side saddle though if you put the shells in from the bottom. (Brass down)
First, you've got the shotgun "mounted", meaning butt in your shoulder, left hand on fore-grip, right hand on pistol grip.
Let's assume your shotgun is fully loaded. Round in chamber, mag tube full. You're clearing your house and fire two rounds. Now you've got a round in the chamber and you're 2 short in the tube. With the shotgun still in the ready "mounted" position, take your right hand off the pistol grip, grab 2 shells from the side saddle (from underneath) and load them into the tube. If you can't hang onto two at once then do it one at a time. Then, when you come to the next room, or whatever, you're loaded to capacity again.
I recommend practicing this with SNAP CAPS OR DUMMY ROUNDS ONLY.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

I'm not so much resisting as holding it temporarily at bay.

Looking to upgrade from this and turn it into a ankle BUG, but this is what I have right now.
Some padding/inner tube used to minimize recoil. Looks bad, but works well.

Nothing wrong w/ starting there. None of us old timers started w/ what we carry now. It is reliable, affordable, & concealable. Good job.
Carry 24-7 or guess right.

So far it's holding up pretty good except for the barrel/slide interlock, it's showing wear there, but not too bad.
