We're back and with a new look!

Well, after 11 hours, the conversion to Olympus is complete. There are still a lot of things I have to set and tweak administratively, but at least we can "talk." If anyone has trouble, please post it in the new "Having trouble with Olympus" thread. I have to get ready for my niece's college graduation, but when I get back I'll do some more work on the site, but hopefully problems will be few. For those technical folks, I'll post a recap of the conversion process which really shouldn't have taken much over two hours.

There are a lot of new and very useful features in Olympus, both for users and for administrators. Please take some time to review your User Control Panel to get a feel for the control you will have with this new version. Many of the features people have requested are included in Olympus, such as Friends & Foes Lists, thread bookmarks, post reporting to Moderators and many more than I can recall at this point.

The default look of Olympus is certainly different from what we are used to here. I like it and I like the tabs format for different features. However, if you'd prefer something pretty close to what you currently see here, you can go into your User Control Panel, then Board Preferences and change the My Board Style to "subSilver2."

This is a major upgrade folks and I appreciate all of the work the development team at phpBB did on this 2+ year project. I hope you like it as well.

Chas.

Holy Radical Changes, Batman!

I see a lot of features that are really nice on first glance.
Only complaint is I am not excited about the new colors. But I will give it some time to grow on me.

THANKS CHARLES!
It looks like a fantastic upgrade from what you had previously...

Just started snooping around and so far, I like it.

Very nice transition Charles. Thank you!

Look forward to finding and using some of the new features.

"Prosilver" is the only option.

I like the alphabetical search of the profiles - much better than the old method.

I just noticed that the little arrows for "previous" and "next" are missing on multipage posts.

Everyone here is my friend!!! Even those I don't agree with. Charles, thanks for the hard work and commitment to excellence in this forum. It is refreshing where by and large, all involved in the discussions truly want to share information, and have discussion in a civilized environment that any member of the family can join.

Thanks, again.

If you like the old look better, you can change it in your User Control Panel. Under the Board Preferences, set the style to subSilver2.
