Having Problems with Olympus?
If you have having problems with Olympus, please let me know by posting in this thread. Please understand this is as new to me as it is to you folks, so I may not have all of the answers right away. The FAQ's are pretty good, so you may want to have a look there for operational issues and questions.
Thanks,
Chas.

I posted a reply in a thread and received the following error.
I went back and refreshed the thread to verify that my post was actually recorded, though.General Error

Can't open file: 'phpbb_search_wordlist.MYI'. (errno: 145) [1016]

Re: Having Problems with Olympus?
Yep; same here. That file, phpbb_search_wordlist.MYI, is the mySQL index file of potential terms for use by the search utility; it should be updated dynamically as new postes are made...and that's why assume we're all seeing the error message when we hit "submit," but then when we go back to the boards we see that the message really did post.
I know virtually nothing about mySQL and phpBB, but if I were having the problem I think my first step would be to look at the file to make sure designated ownership didn't change during the upgrade (meaning Charles's mySQL user identity still owns it) and then check the file permissions, CHMOD in Linux. There is a simple PHP routine that can be executed to attempt to automatically repair teh SEARCH_WORD_TABLE (what the table was named back in version 2) and its associated files, including the .MYI index, but I don't know if the older version I have is suitable for Olympus. Browsing around at http://www.phpbb.com/support/ should turn up an answer, though.

Re: Having Problems with Olympus?
On the thread "We're back and witha new look!" there were supposed to be 2 replies for 3 messages I only see 1 reply for a total of 3 messages. and the thread wont get marked as read. I saw a simular message that was posted by lucky45 that I cant read but the thread is tagged as unread. looks like some db issues with some posts.

I would like more "board appearance" settings. Pro Silver is the only choice offered at this time.
Thanks

Re: Having Problems with Olympus?
The new software looks like it will add a lot of functionality. Thanks for your hard work, Charles!
I have been looking for the "next topic" button that used to be at the top right of each thread. But i haven't been able to find it yet. Where should I be looking?
Regards,
Hunter

Ditto on SQL ERROR when attempting to post. Same results as others, post goes through successfully (without double post)when "Submit" button is hit a second time.
