Allen PD - Prrofessional Stop

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

Allen PD - Prrofessional Stop

#1

Post by tbranch »

Well...just my luck. First day out with the new CHL and I manage to get stopped for speeding. Was travelling a section of road that I don't use often and was doing 58 in a 45.

Pulled to the shoulder and got my DL, CHL, insurance card out. The officer asked me if I had my weapon with me and where it was located. I told him I did and that it was under the armrest. He asked me to keep my hands where he could see them. He returned to his car to run me.

He issued a warning and asked me to slow down. I wished him a Merry Christmas and went on my way...

Sounds like a good stop to me. And that warning is a nice gift for the holidays. Definitely better than the alternative.

I want my money back! My CHL didn't get me out of my "Avoiding the traffic light" ticket.

So did you stick your hands out the windows while he went back to his car so he could see them?
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

I kept them both on the steering wheel! When he came back to the window he had my ID and the warning which he had me sign. Very professional at all times. No complaints from me as he clearly could have issued me a ticket.
