Kalrog wrote:Searching again. I have stories in the following areas (since Wednesday only):

Miami (3 armed men - but shooting with police)
St. Petersburg (Mentions an older woman being shot)
New Port (No deaths)
Chattanooga (fatal shooting)

Note that I don't know if any of these are HZ's incident, but I doubt that anyone has seen any of these in the news so it wouldn't surprise me if there is another incident or 10 that we haven't heard about.

I found all of those right away...

Miami - police involved, 3 suspects still at large
http://www3.wsvn.com/news/articles/local/MI69769/

St Petersburg - a woman shot the female pharmacist and has been caught
http://www.wctv.tv/APNews/headlines/11629946.html

Newport - suspect caught, no shooting
http://www.topix.com/city/newport-vt/20 ... n-pharmacy

Chattanooga - suspects arrested, not dead
http://www.nlrpolice.org/ProfessionalDe ... leases.htm

Not to mention the dozens of other pharmacy robberies that i found while searching for info. But not one of them matches the original poster's account, not even close.

The guy was by himself, really without anyone to talk to about it.
he certainly wanted to get it off his chest, but was probably unsure of a good way to do it. he probably figured, "Hey, the guys on the forum might want to hear about all this!"
I don't question his wisdom so much as his state of mind. probably a little more shocked than he wanted to admit.
I know I would have been.

I agree, we need the give the guy a break. I also dont understand why everyone is out to say he is a lier. That is between him and his Maker.
I'm not saying he's a liar. But if I come on here and tell everyone that I'm Jesus you might want to see me walk on water before you believe it.

To drop a bombshell post like that, being extremely specific with some details that could negatively affect him and then being cryptic with simple details that could have no negative affect on him...well you tell me what logic and common sense are telling you about it?

Agreed. The guy was on here and seemed normal. I'm going for giving him the benefit of the doubt until we hear otherwise. If it did happen, I am symphathetic. If it did not happen, and he maybe has some issues, I still feel sorry for him. Either way, the guy is likely hurting.

You sure you're not related to LawDog? I'm half expecting the announcement to include a pink gorilla suit at this point

read the new thread, still waiting for the mods to shed some light on things. I personally do not want to exert any emotion in this unless it s true.

It got nuked because not a single shred of available evidence to support his story

Sorry...a shooting like that the media would jump in both feet without knowing 1/10th the facts just to slap the "OH MY GOD A EEEEVIL GUN" story to incite fear and hatred...it sells more papers

No news reports of the evil "assault rifles" = it didn't happen

I don't question the moderators' right to delete inappropriate posts and I applaud their efforts to keep the forum clean and wholesome.

But I must admit that I don't see the reasoning here. This entire forum exists to get us through situations like this.

And when a self defense shooting is reported, that report and all comments are deleted.

I can't decide whether the report is factual. But I can believe that in Mass. any self defense shooting would be completely squelched, since they don't want the public to get any ideas about protecting themselves.
