+1

had the 9mm myself...hated that pistol with a passion. I only got approx. 1200 rounds through it before the barrel was severely scarred and basically needed to be replaced. I traded that piece of junk for my Glock 19 which is my current carry piece.

Hearing about the current production S&W revolvers with the internal locks has turned me off of new S&Ws until the quality gets better again.

Exactly, one of my firsts, and absolutely my last.
I saw a guy who just bought one at the range. Was wondering why he could not hit the side of a barn with it. Kept flinching on the trigger. Worst trigger in the world.

Three of us. I realize mine may be an isolated experience, but it's not one I plan to repeat. Their customer service has always been willing to receive and work on the pistol, but each time it's come back, the only explanation of the work performed was "parts replaced." Not which parts, or why, just "parts replaced." So I'd rate that as uncommunicative, especially since I still have an unreliable pistol after its two round trips to Florida. Each time it was returned, it shot okay for a couple of dozen rounds, then started failing to ignite primers again. (Just FYI, firing pin never looked bent, wasn't broken, and the gun has never been dry fired other than when necessary to release the hammer.)

The best thing I could hope to do with it would be to donate it to a local gang member in the hopes he would carry a gun that would never fire. ;-)

Yup,

Finally quit sending mine back after they couldn't fix it. You'd think the folks that MADE it could fix it, but nope.

Sent it to Jack Fuselier: http://www.gunsmith.fuselier.com/
and it ran like a champ when I got it back! He DOES know how to get one running.

My real beef with KT involves a matter of them refusing to replace a customized slide (done by Jack) I sent to them (why I sent it to them again I don't know) to have sights put on it, then UPS lost/stole it.

They admit they were responsible for the item if it didn't get back to me, and they remembered the customized slide coming in. But refused to replace it with anything but a normal parkerized slide.

After much communication....I simply sent them the frame back and accepted a check for purchase price. That left me without a firearm that I really wanted, lost the funds it took for the custom work (fluff, buff, plating, etc..) by Jack, and all the accessories I had bought for it (useless now) mag. extensions, carry clip, night sights.

All because they didn't think they were responsible for a customized slide. Well, thats what I sent them, thats what they are responsible for.

NEVER, EVER, EVER.....will I deal with KT again. Sheeessh, got my blood boiling again even after 10 yrs.

Did I say NEVER? :???:

Did I ever say that I love my "Baby?" I just got off the phone with Magnum Research and they are going to fix the second problem I had while my gun was out of warranty.
Seems, my trigger spring broke few weeks ago and called and they said they would fix it although it was out of warranty. Got it back last week and took it for a run and realize that my slide was not locking back after last round. So I called after Thanksgiving and told them about the problem and they asked about if I was breaking wrist/limpwristing or might be my slide catch has worn on the corner from tactical reloading. I said I would check and run to the range again. When I did check my gun, I realized that the problem was the slide catch, because I practice ALOT at home and at the range, so it had worn on the corner as had been suggested in online reasearch. I guess 1000's rounds and releasing the slide tactically causes premature wear if you do it constantly.
Anyway, I just called to find out the price and how to order, and they said, "don't worry about it, let me see if we can just cover that under your expired warranty. Ok, sir, it will be sent out in the mail today, Happy holdays."
:eek6 Uh... 'preciate it. Thanks.

I love my "Baby", I would never lay that finger on you to cause anymore harm.
